Electronic Turn and Emergency flasher for 1968 Shelby.

Install instruction:
  1. Secure the black wire to a metal surface. Make sure metal surface is clean, no rust or paint.  This provides a ground for the Electronic Flasher.
  2. Locate turn signal flasher. Located behind dash panel to the right of steering column. Turn blinker on and listen to the clicking sound to help locate blinker “can”. I have found that removing the ashtray gives easy access.
  3. Remove blinker “can” and install wires according to picture below.

  1. Locate Emergency flasher: Located behind dash panel to the left of steering column. Turn emergency blinker on and listen to the clicking sound to help locate blinker “can”.
  2. Remove blinker “can” and install wires according to picture below.

  1. Verify Emergency and turn signal operation.
  2. Trouble shooting: If Turn Signal and or Emergency do not work check the following three things.
1) Poor ground wire connection.
2) With Orange wire unplugged and with ignition switch in the run position check for 12Vdc on the Orange / White striped wire. If not, check factory fuse.
3) With Ignition switch off  and the Red wire unplugged check for 12Vdc on the Blue/ White and Red/ White striped wires, if not check factory fuse.
NOTE: Three conditions must be met for flasher to work, Black wire grounded, Red and Orange wire on Electronic Flasher 12Vdc for turn signal to work, Orange wire on Electronic Flasher 12Vdc for Emergency lights to work.

NOTE: This is a brand new Motorcraft flasher that has been modified to work on the 1968 Shelby ’s. Although it will work on other cars you must meet the above requirement listed in Trouble Shooting.
NOTE: When calibrating Sequential / Chase unit, engine must be running so battery is at normal voltage otherwise the flasher speed could be slower because the battery voltage is less than normal.

Thanks for buying my product,
