I purchased this from Ryan T. with http://stores.ebay.com/MustangPartsSource for
$249 + shipping. They are after market and come with all hardware. I don't remember
if it had instructions but I think it's understood how they go on.
This is something I remember seeing on a Mustang for the first time back when I was
15 years old. I think it was the only one I have seen personally. Have not seen many
on the web. Any way I really like the look but it was a lot of work, well more than
I though it was going to be. This with the "C" stripe tones down the Red and adds
to the look I like.
This is what they look like out of the box. NOTE: The install hardware is not shown
in my pictures but they are included.
They do not included a drill template to show you where to drill the holes for the
retaining screws. You can do this by using a bolt that's the same thread as used
on the panels and then cut the head off the bolt sharpen that end to a point and
screw in into the panel. Do this four times and once the panel is in the correct
placement you can use your hand to transfer center punch marks to the taillight panel
so you know where to drill the holes.
One thing I did not like but was able to over come with a file and a lot of time
was the threaded bosses that secure the panel and hole the taillight in place. Not
all aligned with the factory taillight panel holes so now I had to use a file to
remove aluminum until it would fit. This was very time consuming (I would say a full
day) and everyone was off is different areas. Once this was done I was able to drill
the holes in the taillight panel so it would be flush. NOTE: The picture below with
only one panel installed, this was during the fitting process.
Over all I would recommend this to anyone that feels comfortable the above process.
