Scott Drake Master Roller Bearing Repair C5ZZ-2478-RBMK. This works with 1964 to 1970 Mustangs.

I will say that this was a lot of work but all in all I am very happy with it. This is not to show you step by step on how to install this but only to give you more information than what I could find on the web.

This is what come in the kit.

You have to remove the Clutch and Brake support to install this kit. This is the hardest part of the whole install. After removing the Driver side fresh air vent, Clutch and Brake peddles, lower the steering wheel, unbolting the brake master cylinder, and I'm sure something I'm missing then you can remove the peddle support to start the kit install.

I used an angle grinder to remove the factory Zink bushings, if your clutch has not worn through the Zink bushings into the metal part of the pedal support you are in good shape to install the bearings with out welding. I chose to weld the think washers (that was included) for extra support.

IN the instructions they say to install the shaft through the bearings before welding. This keeps everything straight during welding. I painted the support gold only to make it easier to see while working under the dash at a later time.

I also welded the new clutch shaft to the clutch pedal to keep things rigid. I must say I have no side to side play in the clutch and the brake. No squeaking and very smooth operation.

Below I will show you what I did to fix the worn out hole on the clutch pedal for the clutch rod. Also you can see I welded the pedal pivot rod to the clutch pedal.

I drilled the clutch rod out with a 1/2" drill and pressed a brass bussing in that I got from Tractor supply down the road. I have found them at a local auto parts store also.  I also used a small drill make it easier to apply grease using a aerosol can without removing the clutch rod. I also did this to the equalizer bar. Now I have no squeaks and smooth operation.

I hope this may help someone out there.

This is one recommendation I highly recommend for anyone with a clutch car. This will remove all side to side slack in the clutch and brake too.
