| Update: 9/26/04 PROBLEM: Lights stay on: Driver side Passenger side Middle light does not work: Driver side Passenger side Inboard light is the only light that blinks: Driver side Passenger side Inboard lights are the only lights that work Left and Right: CAUSE: Lights stay on: Driver side lights will not turn off: The Green wire with Orange dots was not cut in step 1A. This problem is caused because the Blue wire is sending a false signal through the Green wire with Orange dots to the unit making it think the turn signal is still requested. Passenger side lights will not turn off: The Orange wire with Blue dots was not cut in step 1D. This problem is caused because the Grey wire is sending a false signal through the Orange wire with Blue dots to the unit making it think the turn signal is still requested. Middle light does not work: Drivers side middle light does not work: Make sure the metal insert on the Blue wire is fully inserted into the light socket. Refer to DRIVER SIDE step 14 of install instructions. Passenger side middle light does not work: Make sure the metal insert on the Grey wire is fully inserted into the light socket. Refer to PASSENGER SIDE step 14 of install instructions. Inboard light is the only light that blinks: Drivers side inboard light blinks but the middle and outboard does not: The Green wire from the unit is not connected to the Green wire with Orange dots (factory wire). Verify connection refer to DRIVER SIDE steps 7and 8. Without this wire connected the unit cannot get the request for turn signal or brake. Passenger side inboard light blinks but the middle and outboard does not: The Orange wire from the unit is not connected to the Orange wire with Blue dots (factory wire). Verify connection refer to PASSENGER SIDE step 7 and 8. Without this wire connected the unit cannot get the request for turn signal or brake. Inboard lights are the only lights that work Left and Right: A) Recheck connection of Red wire in step DRIVER SIDE 19 through 21. Probe Red wire with a Test Light or a Volt Meter to see if you have 12dc on the Red wire. NOTE: Although this step fall under the passenger side the wire is actually on the driver side of the car. B) Recheck connection of Black wire in step DRIVER SIDE 17 and 18. As with the Red wire if this connection is not made or poorly made the unit will not function. |
